PT Naviga Tech Asia with the cooperation of a Singaporean company is developing a GSM standalone relay for remote area. This project aim to enable remote areas like palm plantations, mining sites or cargo ship/ferry to deploy their own private GSM network for SMS purpose, remotely connected by satellite to a main mobile carrier.

Software Developer

The incumbent will be in charge to develop the ground system which is providing the interworking between the mobile carrier and the GSM standalone relay, this include the implementation of the signaling protocol and the development of a credential and billing system. The profile should be someone used to work with network and telecoms protocols with excellent programming skills in system and scripting languages.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering related dispiline.
• Knowledge in Network protocol such as TCP, UDP, SCPT, SS7, HTTPS.
• Proficient in C, Perl, Phyton is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge in Linux (Ubuntu, Debian) Operating System.
• Excellent knowledge in Database (SQLite, PostgreSQL).
• Knowledge in Telecommunication, such as GSM, SMS, ISDN, VoIP (SIP, H.323).
• Minimum 1 year experience in software development.
• Experience working in telcom and network project would be advantegous.

The incumbent should have

• Ability to make analysis and work under stressful environment.
• Ability to work independently without supervisor and yet able to complete within giving time frame.
• Brilliant interpersonal skill with people at all level.
• Ability to communicate in English is a MUST.
